So several questions are trotting in my head and I wanted to get your takes on them ;-)
I was wondering how the animal motives and costumes were going to influence the character's behaviours?
As in, we've already seen that Chat Noir is pretty, well, catlike when transformed - the way he moves and what little we can guess about his demeanor. But how far does it go ? Is it an effect of the transformation or just his gig ? (I've already seen people wondering if the transformation means a complete personality change or just shows a hidden side to their personnality - I personally hope it's the latter, it's more interesting). I think we can assume Felix isn't quite as agile and supple in his civilian form (what with the stick he seems to have up his butt), but are there any more effects ? Like, what about the ears : are they just decoration, part of the costume, or does he actually get enhanced cat hearing with them ? And the tail-belt, can he move it or does it just trail behind him ? I wasn't sure watching the trailer : it doesn't seem to do any deliberate movement, but then again it doesn't just trail behind like a belt would do - RuleOfCool stylistic purposes or actual tail movement there ?
Same questions regarding Ladybug, except well...there aren't exactly as many cool behaviours to take from a ladybug than from a black cat. Which is why Ladybug seems much less ladybuglike in demeanor than Chat Noir seems catlike. But what about the red antenna-like things for instance ? Do they twitch ? Can she actually use them for anything ? Because so far we've seen Chat Noir seems to get cat-themed benefits from his costume, but she just seems to get...well, the costume. General strength and agility improvement, but no specific ladybug powers - she doesn't seem to be able to fly, for instance.
As for Pigeon guy, he seems very...pigeonny, which reinforces my idea that the costumes actually do give them some animal traits. What with the expressions, reactions and poses.
And we haven't seen enough of Monarch to go on there :-)
Oh yeah and another big question : does Chat Noir's bell serve any actual purpose ?
(In French this type of spherical bells has a special name : "grelots". Just saying so because in French "bell" - "cloche" carries more a religious, heavy symbolic, while a "grelot" is cute, festive, and more something associated with animals...or Santa Claus ;-) )
