I decided to make a thread dedicated purely to the crazy nightblogging theories and wild speculations, because let's face it; while we know absolutely zilch as of yet, we can still dream, right?
I had a (crazy) theory last night about the negative implications of the Luckysprites being used for nefarious, selflessly (in Chat's case) or at least non altruistic (for Lady), purposes.
If the theory on successive Chat Noirs and Ladybugs is correct, it'd be funny if the punishment for a Chat Noir that acted altruistically was that he's literally transformed into a black cat; he'd lose the ring and potentially the bad luck that it brought, but also his humanity and his powers - the ring would then be found and picked up by another unsuspecting host, and so the cycle starts again.
I did say this was a wild and silly speculation, as it contradicts the idea that Felix/Chat knows that it's a kiss from Lady that removes the curse (which suggests it's some kind of heirloom which is passed down with the knowledge on how to remove the curse courtsey of Ladybug's good luck counteracting Chat's bad luck).
As for a Ladybug not using her powers for good of others too often, perhaps she's punished by never being able to use the powers again (the Sprite refuses to let her transform or even let her put the earrings on, perhaps?)

When I was reading that I got crossed minded with a picture of Felix with cat ears and tail instead of fully cat *nekonin much XD*
What if it was the sprite who told him about the kiss? Or what if it really doesn't work and it's other of his pranks?

If Felix turns into a cat I think it's more likely Marinette'd turn into a ladybug.

Black cat spirit IS a prankster. If that's where he got the "curse-breaking kiss" idea from, it would be pretty funny.
*Ladybug finally agrees to give him a kiss so he'll leave her alone, but then it doesn't work*
Hilarity ensues.

The turning into a black cat or ladybug consequence... ouch.
Oh, and a contribution of crack theory. Ladybug's ahoge serves as a bad guy radar. Chat Noir is included in the radar although he's not a bad guy but he annoys Ladybug, so yeah.

I remember my first time watching the PV. I thought it was so cute when her hair twitched into a heart shape.
Adding to the crack theory list. Pigeon man's silly appearance and behavior are really just a facade to conceal his true intelligence. He may not even be a villain at all but he always knows what's going on and guides the heroes in his civilian form.

What if they all knew each other in civilian form but nobody had a clue? Marinette and Felix are classmates; maybe Pidgeon man is like one of those really dorky teachers (sports teacher, anyone? ;D) Mime is a bit of a wildcard. he kind of strikes me as those silent, bartender types.

I was thinking Pigeon man is either a teacher or someone possibly related to Marinette or Felix. (being related is a bit of a stretch, but this is a crackpot theory thread)
I think a perfect example would be Vyers from Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. For those who haven't played it, he's what I imagine the Pigeon man will be. A flamboyant and incompetent enemy/rogue character who is always hanging around or getting in the main characters' way, but never does a good job at it. When in reality, he's much stronger/smarter than he appears and is actually looking out for the heroes, occasionally doing or saying something that ends up helping them. Usually by "accident". Also planning a heavily veiled Batman Gambit to make sure the heroes overcome their challenges and that the Big Bad is defeated.

Big Bad Monarch guy might be Felix's father.
I don't know, it just crossed my mind. What with the overly stoic attitude they seem to share (I'm talking Civilian!Felix here of course).
Could be interesting, you know - Chat Noir would represent the son's breaking loose from the father and his overbearing strict upbringing. And of course, drama - going after one's own father etc.
Maybe I'm on crack. But it COULD be.

Seems to have crossed quite a few peoples' minds..
I can picture it. Felix breaking loose from his father because of his strict upbringing and the pressure of what his father wants him to be. (typical perfect grade student/heir to his father's company) Instead of who he wants to be. Just his luck too that he finds the black cat ring, which does curse him, but also gives him freedom from his life as Felix.

If we go with the Monarch being Felix's father what would happen if he ever finds out?
If Felix discovers is his father wrecking Paris there still has to be some emotional shock

I'd actually like to see that.
As cliché as it is for the hero to be the son of the big bad, I think it would be good character development for him. Maybe it would be the trigger that makes him drop his stuffy persona.
